Professor Eun-Ju Lee, the director of our center, has been selected as the recipient of the 2023 SNU Excellence in Research Award for her outstanding research achievements and contributions to academic development, bringing honor to Seoul National University. 
Seoul National University created the Excellence in Research Award in 2008 to honor professors who have made significant contributions to knowledge.

• Conducted empirical research into the cognitive and affective effects of diverse forms of digital communication from the perspective of media psychology
• Nine-time recipient of the Top Paper Award from top 3 international communication conferences
• Four-time recipient of the Top Paper Award from the Korean Association for Broadcasting & Telecommunication Studies and the Korean Society for Journalism & Communication Studies
• Recipient of the 2022 Gallup Korea Top Paper Award
• Served as editor-in-chief of Human Communication Research, one of the top academic journals in communication studies.  She is the first non-native English-speaking scholar to serve in this position.
• Honored as an International Communication Association (ICA) Fellow in 2019.
• Inaugurated as President of the ICA in 2023, the first Korean as well as the first female Asian scholar to serve this position.
