Since 2017, the Seoul National University Artificial Intelligence Policy Initiative (SAPI) has brought together leading experts from academia and practice, both in Korea and abroad, to explore the direction of AI policy and governance. Building on these efforts, SAPI, in collaboration with the SNU Center for Trustworthy AI (CTAI), is once again hosting the Seoul AI Policy Conference (SAIPCON) to examine the present and future challenges of rapidly evolving AI governance and to seek concrete solutions.
This year’s conference, to be held on August 21, 2025, at Seoul Dragon City, will explore the theme of AI’s rapid technological advancement and diffusion. Discussions will address the social and economic dilemmas and conflicts it creates, the normative challenges it poses, and potential pathways for social integration. The conference aims to map the complex landscape of societal issues emerging in the age of AI, while seeking transformative governance strategies and practical measures for coexistence.
